My name is Miguel Klassen and I am a 4th year Athletic Therapy Student, in the Bachelor's Degree of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University. Jarod and I co-founded APPA as a way to encourage more physical activity in every day life, regardless of ability levels. Everyone deserves a chance to live a happy and healthy lifestyle with as few barriers in the way as possible. At APPA, we strive to make adapted physical activity more accessible for everyone
My name is Jarod Huhtala, and I'm in my 3rd year of Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University (Bachelor of Health and Physical Education). Growing up as an athlete, I've watched people get turned away from sport and physical activity for a bunch of reasons, and the majority of them are out of their control. By co-founding APPA, I believe that we can help people of all ability levels become more physically active, specifically in the realm of adapted physical activity.
My name is Jessica Smith and I am a 4th year Bachelor of Health and Physical Education student at Mount Royal University, majoring in Physical Literacy with a minor in English. I joined APPA because I believe that we can help people become more physically active in a cost-effective manner, especially in the realm of adapted physical activity. My official position in APPA is Social Media Lead; however, I will be working with co-founders Miguel and Jarod in any way that I can to help APPA grow.
